Led by the local community for the local community
The My Community Project is a Mencap project run by Community Partner Joey Ayris and aims to improve the lives of people with learning disabilities in the Tenby and Saundersfoot area by utilising the leadership of those with lived experience, people with learning disabilities and their families.

More About My Community
The project aims to turn great ideas into reality
Taking an asset-based community development (ABCD) approach and looking to nurture and empower the skills, resources and services already in place locally, the project looks to co-produce with existing groups, organisations and individuals to share skills and knowledge, to make the project as supportive as possible to the community. My Community will give local people the power to improve their own community.

Joey Ayris Community Partner
As Community Partner my job is to connect with people with learning disabilities in the Tenby and Saundersfoot area (as well as the organisations and individuals who support them) to find out what they enjoy and what could make their community more fulfilling. With this information Mencap along with the local community, will help to fund activities and opportunities to improve the lives of those with learning disabilities.

Job Opportunities For Those With LD
Joey will be hiring people with learning disabilities to help me run this the My Community project.
