Mandy Lawrence is our Haverfordwest Community Connector.

"I have been a connector at PAVS for 2 years now following a varied career in youth work, during which I've honed my fear of heights and discovered I am not claustrophobic; also that I can handle both tenancy support and being posted through small gaps in rocks whilst caving."

Since relocating to Pembrokeshire in the early '80s, my history of voluntary working with the likes of CAB, PIPPA, the Samaritans and the Youth Service has been long and varied.

My interests include spending time with my army of grandsons, walking and enjoying any of the various beaches at our fingertips here, as well as the weekly Mum dance sessions in Haverhub: an excellent way of keeping fit and healthy and, as the sessions use 80s soundtracks to keep us moving, remembering those more carefree days.

If I had to choose one kind of food to eat for the rest of my life it would be curry, and if I could live anywhere it would be in a forest next to a lake where I could learn to grow my own food.
