Could you and your children help save a life?
Join us for a fun, hands-on family first aid session where parents, grandparents and carers can learn essential lifesaving skills alongside their children in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Together we'll learn:
-
🚑 When and how to call 999.
-
❤️ Why someone might need an ambulance or emergency medical care.
-
💓 How to recognise a cardiac arrest and perform CPR.
-
🛌 How to put someone into the recovery position.
-
🫁 What to do if someone is choking.
-
🩹 Basic bandaging and how to treat simple injuries.
This is a practical session designed to build confidence, not fear. You'll get to use real first aid training equipment, practise skills together, ask questions and have plenty of opportunities to get involved, so wear comfortable clothing, you may be rolling around on the floor.
Who can attend?
-
Each adult may bring up to three children.
-
Suitable for families with school-age children (younger siblings are welcome to observe with adult supervision).
Cost
-
Adults: £15
-
Children: Suggested donation £5 each (but please just pay what you can – we want everyone to have the opportunity to learn these lifesaving skills).
There'll be stickers and certificates for the kids, selfie opportunities and the chance to make memories. You're also welcome to bring your own refreshments.
What to bring
-
A favourite doll, teddy or cuddly toy that might need a little TLC – we'll need someone to practise our bandaging skills on!
Whether you already know a little first aid or have never tried it before, this session is designed to be friendly, relaxed, engaging and lots of fun. By the end of the session, both you and your children will leave with practical skills that could one day make all the difference.
Come along, learn together, build confidence and help create a community where more people know how to save lives. We'd love to see you there!
