Your Hedges Need You!
Volunteer your time and help us to 'gap up' a hedge in Newchapel.
Activity Outline
The tree planting day will be run by the Growing Better Connections project in collaboration with Sian and Marc, owners of the owners of the beautiful land adjacent to the property Plas y Gwynt in Newchapel. Our aim by the end of the day is to ‘gap’ up 70 metres of hedge line, over three separate areas. We will be planting a variety of native tree species including; sessile oak, wild cherry, downy birch, rowan, hazel, hawthorn, blackthorn, goat willow, crab apple and dog rose.
This event is for you, if you’re interested to learn more about effective tree planting methods, would like to help plant trees to enhance biodiversity in Pembrokeshire, are interested to volunteer your time for a worthy cause, or would like to get fit before Winter feasting!
