Yin yoga involves the practise of using props to hold postures for several minutes in order to encourage deep stretching of the connective tissues. In turn, this helps improve flexibility and strengthen joints. Yin yoga promotes deep relaxation, reduces stress and alleviates anxiety by stimulating the body's energy channels and helping energy flow in the right direction.
