We have two main activities as the Cariad Men's Group.
Firstly, we meet socially - no pressures, just to chat, drink tea or coffee, eat cake and support each other. Then, we take on odd jobs for people in our communities.
We usually meet at Periwinkle Bistro in Saundersfoot on the last Friday of every month, between 10 and 12pm.
Everyone is welcome to these gatherings - whether you want to find out more about the group or just fancy meeting up with some like-minded people to pass the time.
What do we mean by 'odd jobs' exactly?
The type of jobs we can do depend on the skills of our members - we can only take on what they are comfortable doing. This means that sometimes we might not be able to help with a particular task or we may take a little longer as we need to find someone.
We aim to have enough members so that no-one is doing more than they want to - all our members are volunteers, giving up their time, skills and sometimes their tools as well freely to help others out.
As a guide, small jobs around the home and garden are usually ok, but we will assess each request individually. If there are things we cannot do, we will discuss these and find another solution.
