Crundale

Welcome to the information page for Crundale Neighbourhood Network

Rudbaxton Community Association have partnered with Pembrokeshire Community Hub to trial a new initiative! We're aiming to help those who need it, make new friends and most importantly, strengthen the community in Crundale!

Social connection helps to bring us together as communities of people but these days, it's all so busy! We all work more, consume more information than ever and sometimes we miss out on the value of chatting to or working with our friends and neighbours. As time has gone on so our communities have become more fractured with less time spent in and around them.

What this means for when we need a little help, is that we're not sure who to ask - or, if we do ask, whether or not we'll be seen as a bit of a nuisance for asking...so we're trialling something a little different.

The Community Hub operates 5 days per week and always has a person answering the phone and checking the inbox...so what if you could call and be put in touch with a neighbour who could help?

How does it work?

Rudbaxton Community Association has identified people across Crundale who are prepared to offer low level help and support to other people in the village.

The support could take a number of forms - dog walking if you are unable to, fetching some milk and bread, popping in for a cuppa, changing a light bulb...the little things that can help us feel more connected to those around us.

To access this support, you call the Hub on 01437 723660 or email us [email protected] and let us know who you are, where you live and what sort of thing you're looking for. We will contact someone in Crundale who will aim to assist you.

What are the limitations?

The group of people offering to help are community volunteers, not professionals - so they cannot do any major jobs...no landscaping requests please!!

This is not an emergency service - the Hub is open from 9am until 4:30pm Mon-Thurs and from 9am until 4pm on Fridays - outside of these times, the service will not be available. You are welcome to call while we are open to request help on an evening or weekend - we will see what we can do!

Just because you request something, doesn't mean we can guarantee it will happen - we will always do our best but some requests may not be possible.

If you would like to offer to help out as part of this trial, you can contact the Hub and leave your details - we will pass them on.

Whether you offer or request - we may come back to you to ask about your experience after the trial is over.

If you have any questions or need more information, please call the Hub - 01437 723660
