I set up a new in April 2021 project @volunteering matters.  This project is PIVOT Community Support'.  This involves recruiting volunteers to become volunteers to individuals who require low level support such as sopping/pharmacy collections, dog walking, light gardening, weekly telephone calls and running errands. These people do not have a friend or family member to call on.  Our volunteers support an individual for 6 weeks until they can support themselves independently again.  We also look at future support options for them and signpost or refer onto other services.
