Pembrokeshire FRAME’s Community Fuel Guidance Team provides free, friendly, and confidential support to households across Pembrokeshire who may be struggling with energy costs or financial pressures.
Funded by Wales & West Utilities through the Vulnerable and Carbon Monoxide Allowance (VCMA) scheme, the team works directly within communities to raise awareness of energy efficiency and help reduce fuel poverty across the county. Our approach is practical, supportive, and non-judgemental—meeting people where they are and helping them find solutions that work for them.
We offer guidance on a range of issues including energy bills, household budgeting, and accessing grants and wider support. We also connect individuals to trusted partner organisations through established referral pathways, ensuring they receive the most appropriate specialist advice, including support with debt and financial wellbeing.
Alongside this, we focus on improving safety and wellbeing in the home by:
- Registering eligible households for the Priority Services Register (PSR)
- Making referrals for safety interventions such as Locking Cooker Valves
- Raising awareness of the dangers of carbon monoxide (CO)
- Providing free CO alarms to those most at risk
Through a strong community presence—including drop-ins and outreach—we ensure support is accessible, approachable, and tailored to local needs. Our aim is not only to address immediate challenges but to empower people with the knowledge and confidence to manage their energy use and finances more effectively.
