We bring the needs of people together with the needs of dogs.

We provide award-winning daycare, walking, and training services for dogs across Pembrokeshire, with preferential rates for people who find it difficult to walk their dog enough due to a disability or health conditions.

We are also an accredited training centre providing high-quality training and exciting volunteering opportunities with dogs, for adults and young people who experience barriers to work and education.

Our new, force-free, dog grooming service is now open.

Welcome to SPPOT

SPPOT is a unique dynamic Community Interest Company founded in 2013 with the purpose of enabling people who have disabilities and long-term health conditions, to access high quality, exciting opportunities, in the field of dog care, training and walking.

We are a fully inclusive, intergenerational service, providing work-based training for young people at risk of unemployment, along with training and volunteering opportunities and progressive day services, for adults who have learning disabilities, physical disabilities or mental ill health.

In turn, we provide elderly and disabled dog owners with a high-quality community dog walking service and a small bespoke dog daycare service with built-in dog training service.

We are an Agored Cymru Recognised Centre and SPPOT Staff are recruited and trained in both Health & Social Care and in Dog Training & Behaviour.

SPPOT is a highly specialised service, with expert staff able to work with young people and adults of all abilities and professionally assess dogs too.

All staff hold fully enhanced DBS checks and they, our service users and the whole service are protected by robust insurance and risk management strategies.

SPPOT Dog Headquarters

SPPOT DHQ is a modern, bright, warm, safe and accessible one-level building, with fully fenced gardens, close to the town centre with a bus stop out the front and wheelchair accessible dog walking areas directly behind.

We have a very large main training room which can be joined to or separated from the smaller training room. Each training room has access to the central kitchen, gardens, offices and bathrooms.

The building also has a smaller relaxation room, laundry room, storeroom and cloakroom.
