PLANED, a leading community focused organisation based in West Wales, has been given the green light by the Welsh Government to deliver the Wales Community Food Distribution Initiative covering Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire.
What's in it for me?
Would you like to buy fresh and great value food in your community?
Would you like to be part of a new exciting project and gain/share experience with a local food hub?
Do you want to be more connected to your community?
As a grower, supplier or a producer, would you like to reach new markets and customers?
About us
The Wales Community Food Distribution project led by PLANED facilitates volunteers to link with food producers and suppliers to have easy access to healthy and great value food. Community food hubs are a great way to connect people to where food comes from. Operating across Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion, WCFD works with the local community to establish sustainable food to ensure short supply chains that are focussed on increasing the demand for local produce.
Communities across Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire will have direct, funded support from a Project Development Officer in order to launch sustainable food hubs, which will focus on the needs of communities.
