During the workshop, using the basic principles of Tai Chi, we will learn to stand, move and step with balance, stability, co-ordination, mindfulness and intention. With solo and partner exercises we will explore a range of simple movements that consciously utilise the whole body. By learning and practicing these basic exercises we will improve our balance and co-ordination for everyday tasks. I'll be teaching elements of Zhan Zhuang (standing meditation) and Yiquan (stepping) to focus on the body moving as one unit, being rooted and how moving with intention changes the energy.
No previous experience is needed but you will need to be able to be on your feet for most of the morning (with breaks).
The community hall is on the Cardigan Road B4329. Postcode SA62 4DF. What3words ///eyeful.unfounded.boom
