Helping Halls
The Helping Halls Project launched in March 2020 by a consortium of local community councils and halls to support community halls across Pembrokeshire. During the first year 4 halls benefitted from the Project (Neuadd Boncath, Canolfan Clydau, Neuadd Bwlchygroes & Canolfan Hermon) and after securing extra funding the project was able to move into its second year and now support a further 6 halls which are Cilgerran, Abercych, St Dogmaels Church Hall, Llandewi Velfrey & Little Newcastle). Work continues with two further halls (Eglwyswrw and Maenchlochog) as the project expands.
The halls in the picture are the four original halls and are as follows:

Helping Halls provides support in various ways including by helping to access funding, recruit volunteers, admin support and advice, sharing good practice and ideas between the halls. The project is also a link between the halls as well as other bodies and organisations ensuring information is shared and reaching its intended audience. The project is funded by a grant from Pembrokeshire County Council's Enhancing Pembrokeshire fund and a National Lottery grant.
The Project continues to evolve and adapt to the needs of the community halls and will look to extend its services and offer support to more halls in the future.
Project Officer Kerry Killick said "I offer halls to get in touch with me directly if they think I could help them. I am building up the numbers as I go and as I am able to manage them depending on their needs, there is no criteria as I am trying to include all halls and encourage their involvement to help each other, share resources and work together".
