Overview
As a Community Outreach and Fundraising Volunteer with Ffynnon, you will help raise awareness of our work and inspire community involvement across our network of four community gardens:
- Fruit & Nut, Cilgerran
- Field of Beans, Blaenffos
- Clynfyw Community Garden, Abercych
- Community Plot at Pen y Foidr Allotments, Cilgerran
You may choose to support a specific garden or work across the Ffynnon organisation as a whole.
Purpose of the Role
To represent Ffynnon at community events, promote our gardens’ activities, and support fundraising and volunteer recruitment efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Run stalls at outreach events, open days, and local activities on behalf of Ffynnon or an individual garden.
- Talk to members of the public about Ffynnon’s projects, aims, and the ongoing work within the gardens.
- Stay informed about current activities, projects, and opportunities across the gardens.
- Help run engagement activities such as tombolas, plant sales, and other interactive stalls.
- Encourage people to sign up as volunteers or join the mailing list.
- Promote garden open days, attend them with an information stall, and support hands-on engagement activities.
- Provide a friendly, welcoming presence that fosters interest and builds connections with the community.

- Friendly, confident, and comfortable talking to members of the public
- Enthusiastic about community growing, sustainability, and local projects
- Reliable, organised, and willing to learn about Ffynnon’s work
- Happy to work independently or as part of a small team
Time Commitment
Flexible and event-based. Volunteers can choose opportunities that suit their availability.
